I’m Moving Back to my Old Channel!

Hey Lovelies!

Burnout has found me once again 😓.

So I’ve decided to take a break from posting new videos on YouTube. Instead, I’m moving back to my old channel during this time. My current channel is called “Swan Creates Art” and I’m moving back to “Swan Creates”.

I started a new channel for a fresh start, and it felt good at first. It’s only recently that I realised that the “newness” of the channel is what felt good. I get a huge dose of dopamine every time I do or start something new. Then, after a while, the joy of it falls away, and I’m looking for something new again.

I can’t keep starting a new channel every few years just to feel that dopamine rush now can I……..maybe 😅. So I’ll be uploading two videos a week from my old channel. This way it can be up-to-date with all the videos I’ve posted over on my “new channel”. The plan is, when I transfer all my videos, hopefully I’ll feel up to making new videos again.

I wish this was a long-term plan, Lovelies. I wish that I had made this decision early on and told you guys first. But I was literally in the middle of making a video when I stopped and realize that I didn’t want to make videos anymore. At least for a while.

So I stopped making the video, angled the camera towards myself, and recorded that I was taking a break. I also created one to post on my old channel, that I’m coming back, yet not actually coming back. I then edited those videos, scheduled them and haven’t been on my computer since.

This is the first day I’ve been on my computer since making the decision. I came to understand that being on my computer brought me stress, since this was the place I felt the most stressed while editng videos 😓.

So now with no deadlines, and not having to edit any new videos for a while. Hopefully I can get over this feeling soon. I’ll keep you guys posted.

NOTE: Oh yeah, the image attached to this post is a set of bookmarks I’ve wanted to create, but never found the time due to stressing myself out creating videos. Things have been so freeing, and I’ve learned so much already.
